Originally from Georgia, Jess Smith discovered yoga while in college in Washington, DC. In the midst of busy city life, yoga felt both calming and energizing, both deeply familiar and totally unknown. She chose to pursue her teaching training through YogaWorks in 2004 and has since taught at studios and gyms in DC, Manhattan, the Bay Area, and now Texas.
She loves teaching all levels, but especially beginners, and is committed to accessing the mind through the disciplining of the body. Her classes are sweaty and rigorous but always committed to safety through alignment cuing and hands-on adjustments.
Jessica is certified through YogaWorks 200 HR RYT
